- I (and various relatives) have put a ton of work into this car. The
- engine was rebuilt at 87,000 miles, and the transmission was rebuilt
- at 78,000 miles. The differential was rebuilt somewhere in the early
- 90k miles, but I forgot to write that one down (I think I still have
- the paperwork on it though). I do have full receipts showing the
- tranny and engine rebuilds. I've changed the oil every 3,000 miles
- consistently. The engine rebuild was 40 over, which has upped the
- horsepower a bit. Also, the hoodscoop has been opened to add a bit
- more horsepower. I'd guess it's up around 270-290 now.
-
- What's wrong with the car:
- - A couple of oil leaks. The look like they're upper end, and probably
- fixed by simply replacing the rocker cover seals. I may have this
- fixed by the time someone responds to this add. If not I'll knock
- down a bit on the price.
- - No stereo (stolen shortly after I got the car and I never replaced
- it).
- - Heater core leaks, but that's been worked around by bypassing it.
-
- Summary:
- I truly love this car and it's never let me down over the last 3 1/2
- years. I'm selling it because I found a great deal on a Dodge Stealth
- and I can't afford to keep both cars. The asking price is over Blue
- Book because of the work that's been done, as well as all the extras
- that it has. In addition, since I've bought the car Blue Book has
- gone up, not down. My feeling is that this car will be a classic in a
- few years.
-
- I could go on for quite a while :), but I'll save some bandwidth. If
