  17. Try a secretarial handbook, such as the one from McGraw-Hill.  Those are
  18. surprisingly useful books even if you aren't a secretary; they give you
  19. standard advice for all the pesky little things so you can concentrate on
  20. the big things instead.  Some dictionaries may have similar information in
  21. an appendix somewhere.
