- As a friend of mine from New Mexico says: "We didn't come to the US,
- the US came to us." If you've lived somewhere for centuries, and another
- group comes along and imposes a government, should you really be expected
- to change your culture to match theirs? No, you shouldn't. Then why should
- the Hispanics in the US be expected to change?

- Bear in mind, it's very likely that Puerto Rico will try to gain statehood
- by the end of the century. They're officially Spanish-speaking, and that's
- not going to change. The English Only partisans should really have fun with
