  15. I have Alpha 4 v.2.1 for sale.  This is the newest version of an
  16. award-winning relational database management system, featured in
  17. PC Magazine's Best of 1992 issue (Vol. 12, #1, p.114).  It is
  18. dBase-compatible (i.e. uses standard .DBF files) and has an
  19. intuitive & powerful application creator to develop menu-driven
  20. applications.  This program includes a free zipcode database,
  21. and (as a bonus) Home Lawyer (seemed like a useless program to
  22. me, but who knows?).

  24. The retail price is $495; I got it for $99 (version 2.0) + $19.95
  25. (version 2.1 upgrade); I will sell it to the highest bidder above
  26. $40 (postage included).  It is registered to me, but registration 
  27. is legally transferable.

  30. current highest bid upon request, and I will notify bidders of
  31. higher bids _by_request_only_.

  33. Warning:  the media is 3.5" disks.

  35. Additional warning:  this program allows importing of Lotus 1-2-3
  36. files.  However, if any date field in the Lotus file has a non-date
  37. entry, Alpha 4 aborts during import and (occasionally) crashes the
  38. system.  This makes the program useless to me; however, this is
  39. the only bug I know of.

  41. Final warning:  a previous, similar posting in December got no bids.
