  13.     McMaster University is having to abandon its currently-supported
  14. computerized-testing system because we are doing away with the VAX/VMS
  15. systems that it is run on.

  17.     Before we run out an buy a new testing package or invest the time
  18. and money into recoding/porting our old system, we are considering whether
  19. we should even provide this service.
  20.  
  21.     I would greatly appreciate information from faculty, students and
  22. staff from other universities and colleges about how on-line testing (ie.
  23. test written and scored on computers, for non-computer courses) is used.
  24. Any suggestions of MS-DOS- or Unix-based packages (commercial, shareware, 
  25. in house) would also be very welcome.
