  28. I've seen this happen quite a few times at grocery stores -  a person will 
  29. grab a bag of Chee-tos or chips off the shelf and eat it while shopping.
  30. When they get to the cash, they show the empty (or partially eaten) bag to the 
  31. cashier and she rings it up.  No problem.  I suspect you're not *really* 
  32. supposed to do this, but as long as you pay for it before leaving, the store 
  33. likely wouldn't object too strongly.
