- The "security" to prevent dialout is some sort of digital handshaking
- which prevents other phones of the same model from using your phone line
- while "driving by looking for a dial tone". It does NOT provide
- communications security or encrypt the voice data.

- The motorolla "secure" cordles phone is reputed to use simple analog
- inversion of the audio.

- The 900mhz Tropez cordless used digital transmission - it is not
- "encrypted", but you can't listen to the conversation with a conventional
- radio reciever covering the 900mhz band.
