  12. I posted this a couple days ago, but my system was set to 1992 instead
  13. of 1993, so it doesn't appear that it ever really got posted....

  15. Does anyone have a list or references about banks (or other similar
  16. institutions) that will issue a *secured* VISA or MasterCard?  I checked
  17. with my local bank (where I've been doing business with no problems
  18. for almost 7 years), and although they do offer that, they have a
  19. ceiling of $1500 credit limit, regardless of how much you are willing
  20. to deposit to secure the account.  (ie, it would seem logical to me
  21. that if I was willing/able to deposit $4000 into the secured account,
  22. then my credit limit would be $4000, but apparently this logic escapes
  23. my local bank).  I'm preparing to do some consulting work (hopefully),
  24. and after airfare, hotel, etc for an extended number of weeks, that
  25. $1500 can be eaten up real quick.
