- It's not clear to me what "non-sandwich breads" are, so I will
- say that we never bought white bread, and always tried to buy
- something different from whole wheat bread.
-
- After we got our bread machine about a year ago, we have not
- bought a single loaf of bread.
-
- >Like most appliances, bread machines tend to gather dust after a few

- I will readily admit that the food processor, mixer, and blender
- in our house get occasional use. But we use the bread machine
- more than all three of those other appliances combined.

- To me, the great advantage of the bread machine is that it does
- _everything_ for me, once I put the ingredients into the machine.
- I also like knowing exactly what goes into my bread, and
- being able to have unusual bread, with very little effort by me.
- For instance, I had zucchini almond bread in my sandwich today.
- Very nice.

- Our machine doesn't take up two square feet of counter space,
- and we certainly can use more counter space, but it's
- worth it to us.
-
- >Among those twelve [bread machines he knows of] probably only one is in

- If you use your machine only to knead dough, certainly a
- food processor would have been better for you. However,
- we use our machine at least once a week, and have made five
- loaves during a week. It's great!
-
- By the way, I agree with the assessment posted earlier that while
- there are many people who are happy with Welbuilt and DAK machines,
- many other people have had problems with those brands. I have not
- heard one complaint about National/Panasonic, Sanyo, and Hitachi.
