  15. I am looking for recommendations for cordless telephones. I would
  16. prefer to stay under $100. Do I need a 10 channel phone if I stay
  17. within say 50 ft of the base unit? How do the Japanese brands compare
  18. with AT&T? My local appliance salesperson recommended SONY or Toshiba
  19. -- of course that's all she had in stock. Also, what is the security
  20. code in the phone used for?
