- I was in Columbia record club for a while, when they wanted me to renew I
- did some math. The hidden charges are shipping and handling, these are
- way above anything I'd consider reasonable. Add that to the price of each
- CD (note: S&H is per disk, buy 5 disks and S&H is 5X), then assuming you
- order the cheapest CD's available you average $11-$12 per disk after
- fulfilling your agreement. Around here we have sales often enough that I
- can find what I want for $11-$12 anyway, and don't have the hassle of
- being in a club.
-
- It was the outrageous S&H charges that made me drop in the first place, the
- math just allowed me to skip the ads without thinking about it. And I only
- got 3 disks I didn't want, 1 I liked and 2 really sucked (anyone want to buy
- a David Lee Roth and/or Ratt CD?)
