- It is difficult enough to dispose of used batteries in this area (they're
- considered a type of hazardous waste) that rechargeables are beginning
- to be attractive purely for this reason. We can count on this situation
- worsening. I keep some alkys around for emergency, and I don't use
- rechargeable ones in the smoke detectors, but everything else I own
- uses the Millenium brand rechargeables.
