  12. Here is another question.... I've heard that buying something from someone
  13. via COD/UPS would allow me to open the box and at least verify that what
  14. I am paying for is in fact what is in the box.

  17. But I was not allowed to open the box.

  19. How do I protect my interests short of a cancelled check?  What's to say I
  20. am not paying for a bag of sand in a box?

  22. I realize 99% of those on this server are honest.  That's not the question.
  23. Was the UPS driver mistaken about letting me open the box OR was I mistaken
  24. in my reading of the thread that I saw a few months ago re purchases over
  25. the net?
