  16. The province of Ontario (Canada) now allows same sex partners/spouses
  17. to take advantage of provincial employee benefits (ie. extended medical
  18. dental plan, etc.). The action comes after a lengthy struggle by a
  19. provincial employee named Micheal Leshner. Leshner ended up winning the
  20. right through the Ontario Human Rights Commission since Ontario
  21. human Rights legislation forbids discrimination on the basis of
  22. sexual orientation.
