Thanks for the ideas Alan.
In answer to your questions, I am the Program Consultant responsible for curriculum development in Construction Technologies and Electronics. As part of the Career and Technology Studies team, we are reviewing/
200+ courses in the practical arts (business education, home ecomonics, vocational education and industrial arts) for Alberta Schools. Our mandate is to provide opportunities for students to study the areas for three possible reasons; personal use (hobby/home repairs), career investigation and career preparation (direct work place entry, apprenticeship articulation, post secondary education or training). Some of the programs (Enterprise and Innovation) have been implemented last september, most w
ill start in Sept. 94 with remainder by sept 96. As I get into the curriculum development further in Electronics I share some drafts with you for reactions/recommendations. Please pass on your mailing address so I can send you some materials. Thanks for the input, Alan.
