- I've used previous versions of gcc without problem, and in fact I've
- been very impressed with the extent to which (for the last few
- versions) building it on my NeXT has become completely trivial. Until
- today, that is.
-
- I updated my (working) copy of 2.3.2 to 2.3.3 with the patches that
- appeared on prep while I was on Xmas vacation, and rebuilt everything
- from scratch. Having rebuilt gcc, I rebuilt libg++.a too, and had no
- trouble. But now when I try to use the new gcc for anything else, I
- get the message
-
- gcc: installation problem, cannot exec cpp: No such file or directory
-
- What's going on? I'm sure this is completely trivial, but I can't see
- what I've done wrong. I completely de-installed all gcc stuff, and
- rebuilt it from scratch - everything in /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib looks
- ok to me (and cpp is indeed there, as the executable file
- /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/next-mach/2.3.3/cpp). But I can't use it.
