  11. Using an interactive inferior shell with emacs 18.57.13, I get the
  12. following messages after doing "M-x shell":

  14. Warning: no access to tty (Bad file number).
  15. Thus no job control in this shell.

  18. ...and I get the message "Can't open /dev/tty" when I try to run
  19. interactive programs like rn, mush, etc.

  21. Is this normal, or is there a way to fix?  The shell is tcsh.
