- I'm TRYING to learn emacs 18.55 under csh. One of the problems I have
- is I can't get emacs to recognize the number of lines my terminal has.
- I telnet from my PC (which has 50 lines but is otherwise VT-100) to
- my UNIX host.
-
- I use STTY ROWS 50 and vi happily uses all my screen. I heard that
- you have to either reference the termcap entry with the TERM environment
- variable, or set TERMCAP equal to the termcap entry that you want.
-
- This works fine (for me) with version 18.58. Get your system
- administrator to upgrade, there are many other improvements and bug
- fixes.
