  13. This feels like a FAQ, but I didn't find it in the list.

  15. Motif causes some popup windows to grab all events when they are active.
  16. For example, the standard PulldownMenu does this.
  17.  
  18. When one is debugging the program and it comes to a breakpoint with the
  19. menu active, a deadlock occurs.  The program is stopped, so the menu items
  20. cannot be selected, but the program can't be resumed, because the window 
  21. running the debugger can't get any events.

  23. There must be a standard solution to this problem.  What is it?
