- DESQview/X currently has support for running X via the SPX protocol. It
- works great. The question is what do you want to talk to? The SPX
- datagram (currently) will only talk to other DESQview/X machines, allowing
- them to interoperate. Host machines typically do not have capability
- to run X via IPX or SPX. They occasionally use IPX/SPX to access shared
- database info or something, but if you ask for an xterm across it it
- just gives you a dumb look...
-
- UNIVEL is also capable of running X across IPX/SPX (I'm not sure which
- they use) and do some other neat things. As of this exact moment UNIVEL
- and DESQview/X can't talk to each other, but Quarterdeck and UNIVEL are
- working together on this.
