Or, you can get Linux or 386bsd and run X on your PC. If you use XS3,
an X server for a S3 cards, with a 486/50Mhz you will get the same or better graphic's performance than a sun workstation. Total cost of the software $0 :-)
XS3 is known to work with open-look, motif, and twm, etc...
