  11. I've added an extra 300M of HD space so I figured I'd rebuild X11R4 from
  12. scratch.

  14. Everything looks good, I'm using gcc v2.3.1, SunOS v3.5, and I changed
  15. the -O to -O2 in the Makefile.

  17. Anyway I run a Sun 2/120 as a central server, and run a Sun 2/50 as a client
  18. and everything USED to work, now all of a sudden when I start putting a
  19. load on the 2/50 (X11R4 server) and/or start several clients on the 2/120
  20. I get this stupid

  22. XIO:    fatal IO error 32 (Broken pipe) on X server "unix:0.0"
  23.     after 2165 requests (2155 known processed) with 0 events remainging.
  24.     The connection was probably broken by a server shutdown or
  25. KillClient.

  34. It just occured to me that the ethernet card (ie0) and the third disc
  35. controller (xy0) are physically adjascent, and share the same P2 bus.

  37. Is this more likely a hardware or software problem?
