  14.   I have an application, written entirely in XLIB for X11R5.  My problem is
  15. that I am creating a window, which has some text in it then I return from 
  16. the rotuine only after an expose event has taken place and a XDrawImageString
  17. has been run.

  19.   The problem is that the window comes up and the text does not until near the
  20. end when the window is anout to be shut down.
