- I think it's a problem with the window manager being paged out and it takes
- too long to page back in, resulting in a geometry requets being refused, thus
- the shell comes up small (approx 16 x 16 pixels I think). Just a guess.

- On a related note, occasionally we also so (ie: we do experience the above
- problem occasionally) see dialog boxes come up for a split second and then
- disappear into oblivion forever - BIG DOODOO time.
