  14.     I have a friend who is going over to America
  15. this year and wishes to increase his knowledge about X.
  16. In particular he is looking for any useful conferences, 
  17. trade shows or perhaps even large user group meetings
  18. that would give a feel of what X is doing at the moment, 
  19. and what directions it could possibly take.
  20.     If you know of anything that is coming up
  21. could you please email me some information on who to
