  13. If I install Windows 3.1 on an AT 286 I have no problems.
  14. After some further uses of Windows, it suddenly denies its work.

  16. If I type in:

  18. I see the title page for some seconds and after that I get the following
  19. error message:

  21. Error in standard mode: Adress not in MSDOS memory manager
  22. ...    IP: B3FB     ....

  25.     ||
  26. Here I get the current contents of all processor registers especially the
  27. Instruction pointer.

  29. Can anybody give me a hint, why it works sometime and then breaks down ?
  30. I've already tried to save the files:  autoexec.bat
  31.                     config.sys
  32.                     /windows/*.ini
  33. to a disk. After the breakdown I restored them to the harddisk with no success. 
  34. By the way after installing Windows I also installed Excel 3.0 successful.
  35. Perhaps this might cause any problems !?
