- Well, I gave up and stuck a NEC 82 (also not officialy supported!)
- in there and it works fine. Can anyone explain why a particular
- SCSI cdrom drive is not supported? We are not talking about a
- pseudo scsi drive like a lot of the Sony's but one that seems
- to follow all the specs properly. The usual case, as in earlier
- releases of OS/2, the driver has imbedded in it the manufacter
- code returned by the drive. Common practice was to binary
- edit the driver and patch in your name, and it all worked.
- Same thing with some stupid AT&T scsi hard disk drivers that
- only worked with their drives before patching. However, I cannot
- find any .o or space.c file in all of pack.d that has cdrom
- ids embedded.
- Nother problem is now that I can mount the cdrom under ODT2,
- I cannot then mount that same directory from another UNIX
- system via NFS. Mumbles something about the mount point
- already remotely mounted or some such. This is with Dell svr4.
- Can a cdrom not be nfs mounted under ODT?
