  11. I had to make some kludgy kernel configuration hacks dealing with 
  12. max processes and some of the calculations in param.h to get pathworks to
  13. function in a large lab (more than 50 PCs). It works acceptably now, 
  14. and the labs get beat on heavily. Before I made the hacks, it was 
  15. unusable after a certain load threshold.

  17. Maybe DEC has this fixed now, or knows how to tell you to fix it. If not
  18. you'll either need someone who knows what they are doing, or someone
  19. (like me :-) who delights in kludgy hacks to make it work in an 
  20. environment with lots of PCs.
