- Summary: Need help with unknown uucico message
- Keywords: ESIX uucicio

- I am setting up an ESIX SVR4 system. So far I have not been able to
- get uucp working. During the protocol negotiation part of the process
- I get a message that I am not familiar with. Here is a portion of the output:
-
- rmsg - 'P' imsg > Pge got Pge
- Slave protocol list(ge)
- Master protocol list (Gg)
- wmesg 'U'g
- omesg "Ug"
- Setting up protocol parameters 'g'
- ASSERT ERROR (uucico) pid: 2118 (1/10-23:12:23) PKXSTART ret (-1)
- [FILE: pk1.c, LINE: 364]
- Proto start-fail g
- STARTUP FAILED
- exit code 101
-
- Apparently, it is failing while trying to set up the g protocol. Any
- clues as to why this might be happening? And while we're at it, does
- anyone know if these error messages are documented anywhere? I'd be
- happy to RTFM if I could find one.
-
- Thanks.
