- If you are wanting to use it as a workstation, yes, as a server no. One of
- the principle reasons for the transition from BSD in Solaris 1.0.1 to SYSVR4
- in Solaris 2.x is to support multiprocessor server-class machines. For
- each of Sun's own machines, there is usually a workstation configuration and
- a server configuration. The base UNIX is really a server environment even
- on the workstations. Sun even sells Sbus serial port cards.
