  21. It sounds like a ulimit problem.  Check the FAQ for this group.  There
  22. should a procedure for increasing the ulimit explained in one of the 
  23. System Admin manuals.

  25. Can you create any big files; like greater than 2 MB?  That's the default
  26. ulimit.

  28. Also check /etc/defaults/login for a ULIMIT line.  That sets the default 
  29. for login sessions (but it can't be bigger than the kernel limit).
