- It sounds like a ulimit problem. Check the FAQ for this group. There
- should a procedure for increasing the ulimit explained in one of the
- System Admin manuals.

- Can you create any big files; like greater than 2 MB? That's the default
- ulimit.

- Also check /etc/defaults/login for a ULIMIT line. That sets the default
- for login sessions (but it can't be bigger than the kernel limit).
