  18. Also, "The Unix Programming Environment" by Kernighan and Pike (Prentice-Hall).
  19. It covers more than the shell, but is a very good shell book as well.  The
  20. authors say most users of Unix are programmers, but are programming in the 
  21. wrong language -- they should be using shell for much of what they do.
