  17. It's binary compatible with SVR3.2 Intel Unix if you don't use graphics
  18. or shared memory.

  32. It's pretty good for a cheap Unix.  No 64k memory limitation.

  34. It's got a C compiler thats K&R (Gnu stuff is available from MWC or you 
  35. can port it yourself).

  37. It's make was lousy - but they fixed that.

  39. It can read/write dos disks (so you can move files to and from your dos
  40. partition.)

  42. It's a bit rough at some spots - the getty/init stuff need updating to
  43. SVR3.x from the V7 stuff they're using.

  45. If you want an inexpensive "Unix" it isn't bad.  If you want System V
  46. you've got to pay big bucks.  If you want System V rel 4 you need 
  47. bigger bucks.  Coherent can run on a 20 meg partition with under
  48. 4 megs of memory. Try that with SVR4.

  50. If you're interested in hacking OS source and have internet access
  51. Linux and 386BSD are other options - but you lose the binary compatibility.
