- Sorry folks, I didn't check an obvious source regarding my query
- about the format of 'tar' archive files. The format is described
- in the UNIX manuals under tar(4) (e.g. in HP-UX, which I am using)
- or tar(5) (BSD), as several people pointed out to me. Thanks very
- much.
