- Hi there!

- In a month or so I plan to put together a unix system
- running on a 386 or 486 PC. I also have a spare
- dumb terminal floating around.

- I still haven't decided which operating system ( out of
- coherent, minix or linux ) to use.

- I would welcome any comments regarding the relative
- merits (or defects) of each of these systems. I am
- very new to unix, coming from a dos and vax background,
- so I may not understand overly technical responses.
- Comments that relate to the general usefulness and
- friendliness would be most welcome.

- I am also totally unaware of the hardware requirements
- of each system. Any guidance in this area would be a
- great help.
