  13. I sent off a message to someone who had posted a similar problem in
  14. this conference (I think).  They didn't have an answer, but they had
  15. tried something I didn't try before.  They said that they had
  16. configured the hpdd for a tape drive, with kconfig.
  17. When I looked at the kconfig menu for the hpdd, I didn't go past the
  18. select boot controller menu.
  19. So, this time I did, and lo and behold, yes, the promised land ...
  20. Hmmm - movie rights?  Charlton Heston?  Cecile B DeMille?
  21. Well, metaphorically speaking I have been wandering about in a desert
  22. but it's only been a weekend.  Haven't seen any manna, but those
  23. chocolate chip cookies just keep comin'!
