  15. First of all here is the relevant versions of software:

  17. FlexGen 3.0 "for Xenix/Unix Operating System", WinQVT 2.18, Novell 2.15 using
  18. SMC Ethercard 16 cards, Consensys V4.2.1, Windows 3.1 with pktint, in enhanced
  19. and standard mode, DOS 5.0. (Whew).

  21. The problem is while in FlexGen when a function key is pressed it doesn't
  22. always come through whole. For example, the terminal type generally used is
  23. VT102, which is defined as being the help key in FlexGen. Most times, when F1
  24. is pressed, the user gets help. However, sometimes the codes for the key come
  25. through (IE, OP for F1). It seems like a pause of some sort is being
  26. introduced in between the escape code and the key sequence.

  28. The problem does NOT occur while on the system console, or using NCSA Telnet..

  31. It seems to be worse on a 386sx-16 system then it is on a 386DX-40, though it
  32. may not be speed related since different versions of DOS are being used.

  34. Does any one know of a fix, or alternatively if you have a similiar setup have
  35. you (or have you not) witnessed this problem? Any suggestions?

  37. Is there any way to contact the author(s) of WinQVT? It seems like good
  38. software and we want to use it throughout our organization, but a P.O. box is
  39. not exactly our idea of "good support". Is there an alternative to WinQVT? I
  40. know WinQVT is reasonably priced, but sometimes it's worth it to pay more if
  41. you get some support.. just not too much more :) We're looking for Windows
  42. based software, and something that has a macro language would be excellant.
