- Well there seems to be a number of knowledgable people here in these
- newsgroups. I wonder if someone could answer a few questions for me.
-
- Does Novell's UNIXware support the following?
-
- 1) DMD layers (ie. AT&T 5620, 630, 730)
- 2) At least 6 Gigabytes of SCSI disk
- 3) NFS and RFS
- 4) 8mm SCSI tape backup (Extabyte)
- 5) An X.25 interface/test suite?
- 6) Multi-Processor support
-
- I know there are versions of SCO UNIX that have 3rd-party versions of
- X.25 drivers and 8mm Tape drivers. Are there many 3rd party vendors
- that write code for UNIXware? (I know quite a few vendors writing code
- for the Novell LAN, but we aren't planning on using the LAN until
- sometime next year. We would like to start out with PC/NFS)
-
- I'm sure this will be no problem if the AT&T/Novell sale goes through,
- but what is the current state of affairs?
-
- I tried to direct the follow-ups to comp.unix.misc.
-
- Any help would be greatly appreciated.
