- I'm reposting this becuase I neglected to use the [386BSD] notation
- in the header, so I suspect a lot of people never saw my posting (people
- using 386BSD probably scan for that string).
-
- Anyway, on my 486/33 ISA, 128kb cache, 16mb, Maxtor 8760S, CDC 94171-307,
- Archive Viper 2150S, I have booted and installed from floppy. Now I want
- to isntall the full system. I have the files on 1/4" tape - however when
- I try to access the tape device (scsi id 4), I get an "error 9". I have
- no clue what "error 9" means. Does anyone out here know? Anyone know
- how to fix the problem?
-
- Someone suggested changing the /dev/ras4a minor device to "16" (decimal)
- which I ahve done. The same thing occurs.
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Bill
