- What hardware do I need to install and use 386bsd?
-
- Do I need a tape drive? (can I install it from a file
- on a DOS partition? or some other bypass of a tape drive?)
-
- What sort of hardware requirements are there? 387 required?
- disk space? can it handle internal modems? (SCO ODT has a
- problem wiht them)
-
- I hear that there is a 386X for 386 bsd? What sort of graphics
- capabilities and controllers does it *Require*? what does it support?
- (bsd/386 from bsdi has a very narrow list of supported cards)
- Does it include the programming libraries, etc (Xt)
-
- I'm looking at a 386 system with 4mb ram (I can get more if needed),
- a Trident SVGA card and color monitor, 120mb hard drive, 3 button
- serial mouse.. (IDE hard drive, not scsi). I don't think I'll be
- able to pick up a tape drive for it, tho.
-
- Oh, and what quality are the SLIP drivers for 386bsd? anyone using
- them for an internet connection?
