  11.     I seem to be having a major problem lately running out of
  12.     virtual memory.  I have 386bsd.01 with the majority of the
  13.     patchkit installed.  Hardware is a 486/33 with 16 megs memory,
  14.     a couple of 210 meg ide drives and a 600 meg SCSI on and adaptek.
  15.     I have a primary swap of 32 megs and a secondary of 30 megs on
  16.     the scsi.  Running the posted vstat program, it says I have 
  17.     1475 pages free, which seems way too low.  When ever I run
  18.     the XS3 server, and run xv, each image reduces the available
  19.     virtual mem until it bombs with "Virtual memory exhausted"
  20.     Killing xv brings the memory back.  However it is not xv!
  21.     Without even running X, There are some programs that I try to
  22.     compile, and I watch the virtual memory shrink to zero and
  23.     the same error message pops up.  I ran a recently posted 
  24.     virtual memory test program, and it bombs when requesting anything
  25.     over 4 megs.  Now, seeing as I have 16 megs real, and over 60 megs
  26.     virtual, something is amiss!
  27.     Do I have a mis-applied patch, or what?
