- Just a quickie,
-
- I get bind() errors on about any software (syslogd, startx/xinit,
- etc ...) that cause these programs to just exit. I don't have an
- ethernet card so the kernel doesn't configure anything at bootup time,
- is this my problem? I remember reading in the BUGLIST that to fix
- this problem with talkd, one just has to make sure their /etc/host
- contains an entry like '127.1 myhostname'. This didn't appear to
- fix the problem, any other ideas?
-
-
- Thanks!
