  14.     I've got a MacIIcx running A/UX 3.0 which is being used as
  15. an interface between a bunch of SGI UNIX boxes and a laserwriter IIg
  16. on localtalk.  The UNIX boxes use 'lp' to send their files to my
  17. mac and the mac sends the files on out to the laserwriter using the
  18. chooser printer.  After a reboot of the Mac this works fine until
  19. I print from a macOS application on the cx.  After that, the files get
  20. to the Mac from the UNIX boxes, but the printer just sits there and
  21. blinks its recieve light.  
  22. For example:
  23. (Reboot)
  24. printing from caesar.iaf.uiowa.edu using lp through the mac works fine.
  25. (I select a range of text in a command shell and select print selection...)
  26. The selected range prints fine.
  27. printing from caesar.iaf.uiowa.edu using lp causes the file to be moved
  28. to the cx.  The laserwriter starts blinking (like it is receiving data)
  29. but never quits.  I can still print from MacOS apps on the Mac, and 
  30. eventially, the lp job disappears (lpstat -t).

  32.     Any ideas as to where the problem might be?  We did not have the
  33. problem under A/UX 2.0 and an LaserWriter NT.  It only appeared after one
  34. or the other was upgraded(replaced).
