- Help! I set my system up as a SLIP client to work and things
- were working fine (other than cu claiming it had lost the carrier, but
- now I use upsl0!).
- Yesterday I installed the telnet binary off of wuarchive, and
- discovered I couldn't telnet into my machine. I went back to the
- Apple telnetd and still had the problem. I poked around and
- discovered that inetd wasn't running, so I did an init q to get it
- started. Still no luck, inetd was running but I still couldn't telnet
- or rlogin to my machine. I then rebooted to make sure everyone was in
- synch, but still no inetd. I init q'ed again and promptly got the
- message that inetd was respawning too rapidly.
- At this point I'm at a loss, does anyone have ideas how I can
- tell why inetd is respawning instead of running? Any ideas on how to
- fix this?
- Thanx,
- H3nry

- P.S. This is A/UX 3.0 on a IIci with 20MB memory and a 410MB disk.
