  16.     Help!  I set my system up as a SLIP client to work and things
  17. were working fine (other than cu claiming it had lost the carrier, but
  18. now I use upsl0!).
  19.     Yesterday I installed the telnet binary off of wuarchive, and
  20. discovered I couldn't telnet into my machine.  I went back to the
  21. Apple telnetd and still had the problem.  I poked around and
  22. discovered that inetd wasn't running, so I did an init q to get it
  23. started.  Still no luck, inetd was running but I still couldn't telnet
  24. or rlogin to my machine.  I then rebooted to make sure everyone was in
  25. synch, but still no inetd.  I init q'ed again and promptly got the
  26. message that inetd was respawning too rapidly.
  27.     At this point I'm at a loss, does anyone have ideas how I can
  28. tell why inetd is respawning instead of running?  Any ideas on how to
  29. fix this?

  33. P.S. This is A/UX 3.0 on a IIci with 20MB memory and a 410MB disk.
