- Lately I've had a couple of panic crashes while formatting a Mac floppy.
- This is 3.0 on a 20M IIci, with 2 x 80MB HDs, running NFS. (Maybe it's
- my imagination, but I've only noticed the problem after upgrading from
- 8 to 20 MB.)
-
- Apparently, the floppy format routine wants the whole CPU, even when
- somebody is doing a SCSI disk operation. Anyway, the access light on
- my external HD80 is left on steady. (I don't remember what the panic
- message says, except something about a bad SCSI state.)
-
- Any clues as to what is really happening, workarounds, etc.?
-
- Thanks for any enlightenment!
