- Okay, I am having a COMPLETE lack of success trying to access an Exabyte
- 8200. I have installed the new 3.12 tc drivers, but they do not seem to
- help. The testdrive program has never seemed to work, always generating
- a 'Subscript out of range' error. I've tried some example lines from
- the manual like...
- tar cbBf 16 278320 /dev/rmt/tc4 usr (<- no error, but returns within seconds)
- tar tvBf 16 /dev/rmt/tc4 (<- gives Tar: tape read error)
-
- Commands make the tape whir, and the lights blink, but not much of
- importance that I can see. Am I doing anything wrong? I would like to
- get this working. Any help would be appreciated.
-
- In case it makes any difference, it is a IIci, Apple Cache card, 8Mb
- physical, A/UX 3.0.
-
- Many Thanks.
