  14. Okay, I am having a COMPLETE lack of success trying to access an Exabyte
  15. 8200.  I have installed the new 3.12 tc drivers, but they do not seem to
  16. help.  The testdrive program has never seemed to work, always generating
  17. a 'Subscript out of range' error.  I've tried some example lines from
  18. the manual like...
  19. tar cbBf 16 278320 /dev/rmt/tc4 usr  (<- no error, but returns within seconds)
  20. tar tvBf 16 /dev/rmt/tc4 (<- gives Tar: tape read error)
  21.  
  22. Commands make the tape whir, and the lights blink, but not much of
  23. importance that I can see.  Am I doing anything wrong?  I would like to
  24. get this working.  Any help would be appreciated.

  26. In case it makes any difference, it is a IIci, Apple Cache card, 8Mb
  27. physical, A/UX 3.0.
