  12. The FAQ is very specific about moving files from A/UX to mac but
  13. doesn't mention what to do in the other direction.  I have a binary
  14. file which I set to type bin and moved the icon over to AU/X. The
  15. size reported by Get Info is the same for both files. I ran a file
  16. compare on the mac side which reported that the files were the same.
  17. If I do a ls on the AU/X file it lists the size as 401 bytes bigger
  18. than Get Info shows. The file is actually a .Z and reports an error
  19. (saying its not a compressed file) when I try to uncompress it. It
  20. appears to have some junk at the beginning (dare I guess 401 bytes
  21. worth?)

  23. Is there a way to avoid this? Is there a way to fix it after the fact?
