  19. Legend has it that: The install process patches the SCSI ID somewhere (perhaps
  20. in the kernel itself) and so changing the address confuses it.  Are you
  21. getting a double panic error, etc.?  If I were you I would try changing the
  22. jumper back to #6 just to see what happens.  If that works then you can decide
  23. whether to reconfig (I'm not sure if you have to go through the whole
  24. re-install again) under ID #0.

  26. I've heard that this is also the case with memory e.g., install under one
  27. amount of memory but boot under another (e.g. after an upgrade) and it pukes. 
  28. I've only personally witnessed the SCSI ID one though.
