  14. I would like to know if there is a detailed
  15. procedure, as to how to set up a modem on a 
  16. RS/6000 350 workstation with AIX 3.2  , and
  17. enable it to receive calls from my personal
  18. computer at home.  I try dialing the number
  19. and PROCOMM does not get thru, it hangs up
  20. with the message NO CARRIER.

  23. Meanwhile, on my workstation I see some error
  24. messages like:

  26. 3004-031 Write timed out - possible noise on port
  27. 3004-019 TSM encountered an error on terminal "/dev/tty0"
  28.  
  29. INIT: Command respawning too rapidly. Check for possible errors
  30. id: tty0 "/etc/getty /dev/tty0"

  32. Further more, to complicate matters for me,
  33. I am succesfully able to call out to other computers,
  34. like a library database; but to no avail...my 
  35. Workstation is not able to answer a phonecall.
