  28. | Well, I can't answer that question, but just in case it is helpful, I can
  29. | translate the sense data.  The above error was due to the disk failing a
  30. | SCSI Start-Unit (spin-up) command with Illegal Request status, which means, it 
  31. | didn't like the command and/or command block.  However, the command block 
  32. | (starting with 5th byte of sense data) looks fine to me.

  34. The Hitachi drives reject startunit commands unless the drive is
  35. jumpered to not spinup by itself, as I recall from our use of the
  36. drive.
